Weather update for tonight

Good afternoon

We have received the following update from the Met Office this afternoon. There is likely to be some strong winds over night (please see the attached yellow weather warning).

This means easterly gales, accompanied by gusts of 50 to 60 mph are likely, extending a short way inland and affecting other higher ground areas inland too. These will be accompanied by large waves and dangerous coastal conditions. A further area of very strong easterly winds will affect some western parts of northern England with gusts of 60-70 mph possible during Friday afternoon and evening, easing overnight.

Winds will ease from generally from the south through Saturday.

We will of course be keeping a close eye on things, in particular The Old Courthouse (please see our earlier update from the Environment Agency).
