Every year we seek to remind you of the need to check your flood defences - and in particular that you know how to put them up yourself. Now is the time to make sure your personal flood plan is still relevant and seek to make any necessary changes. We would recommend anyone living in a flood prone area to do this.
Other things you can do is to sign up for Flood Alerts and Warning with the Environment Agency https://www.gov.uk/sign-up-for-flood-warnings
Please also consider registering with us as a householder for help in an emergency which includes flooding. Here's the online link www.cerg.org.uk/registration or you can email us (admin@cerg.org.uk) or give us a ring on 07852 599794
If you are still unsure of what to do, The Floodhub is a really useful source of information that covers loads of stuff such as useful equipment to buying
insurance. They came along to our householder resilience event in April and their help and support were really welcome to those that came along.
